报告题目Hztransib in Helicoverpa zea: history, intragenomic dynamics and regulation

报告摘要:  Hztransib, characterized in the cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa zea), is the first intact member of Transib, a novel superfamily of transposable elements (TEs) originally reconstructed in silico from ancient fossil TE sequences in the genomes of Drosophila melanogaster and Anopheles gambiae. In this talk, He will demonstrate that Hztransib had probably transferred to H. zea from H. armigera and still retains its capacity to maintain structural integrity, increase copy number and remobilize in H. zea. He will then demonstrate the unique regulatory mechanism of Hztransib that permits its long-term persistence in the host genome.

   报告人简介
  李显春,男,1964年生,获美国伊利诺伊大学香槟分校博士学位,现为亚利桑那大学昆虫学系副教授,我校后稷学者讲座教授,主要围绕植物-昆虫互作和协同进化、植食性昆虫对寄主植物化学防御毒素的适应、抗药性的进化机制,在分子水平上开展了一系列国际创新性研究,取得了显著成果,已发表学术文章50余篇,其中SCI收录文章40余篇,多篇论文发表在国际著名的期刊上,包括NaturePNASAnnual Review of EntomologyBMC Evolutionary BiologyInsect Molecular BiologyInsect Biochemistry and Molecular BiologyGene杂志。先后主持美国NIH基金、美国USDA、国家杰出青年科学基金等国内外研究项目10余项
